Being a surrogate is one of the most beautiful and selfless things a mother can do to help someone else to become parent(s). Most surrogates have seen their circle of friends or family struggle with fertility first hand and want to help out.
All kinds of women have chosen to be surrogates: stay-at-home moms, small business owners, nurses, office workers, hospitality workers, women who enjoy pregnancies....and the list goes on and on. Additionally, monetary compensation makes surrogate pregnancy possible, with base compensation between $22K-$45K and total compensation up to $35K-$60K with just one successful pregnancy in the US (Canadian surrogates receive reimbursement in accordance with Canadian law which can range from $20K - $40K in Canadian dollars). There is no out-of-pocket expense for a surrogate, as the family matched with the surrogate will pay all fees agreed upon in the surrogacy contract.
A surrogate can choose to work with an agency or remain independent by herself. At iUSA consulting, we work with surrogates to understand their physical, mental and financial needs through the process and review their surrogacy contracts to ensure their protection, compensation and responsibilities clearly laid out in the contracts. Additional, we offer a complementary financial service advice (two sessions) to the surrogate regarding her tax filing and financial planning options. Our service fee is $780.
If you are interested in having your surrogacy contract reviewed and receiving complementary financial advice, please fill out the form or contact us directly to start the process.
